Experience all Anglesey has to offer from beautiful Rhosneigr
Kitesurfing and Kitesurfing Tuition
As one of the windiest places in the UK, Rhosneigr is among its best kitesurfing locations – with a perfect mix of waves, wind and safety infrastructure. With its natural bay protecting kitesurfers from more dangerous rips, Rhosneigr’s beaches are also great for beginners. Gecko Surf Shop, which is located on High Street (about 3-5 minutes walk from the beach), provides a range of tailored courses from beginner to advanced (information can be requested on the website below) meaning kitesurfers can focus on improving their skills on twin tip, wave/strapless board or foil.
Where is it?
You can find Rhosneigr’s beaches by taking Junction 5 from the North Wales Expressway (A55), and following Fford Maelog (A4080) into the village. While there are a few areas with on-street parking, you can also find the Rhosneigr Pay & Display Car Park by taking a left from Fford Maelog onto High Street, then left again on to Awel-Y-Mor. Rhosneigr’s main beaches are a couple of minutes walk from the centre of the village, and there are places to hire equipment and wetsuits a short walk from either beach.
