Experience all Anglesey has to offer from beautiful Rhosneigr
Porth Dafarch to South Stack Walk
Beginning either at one of the car parks near South Stack Lighthouse, or at Maes Parcio Porth Dafarch, this section of the Anglesey Coastal Path is about six miles to complete in both directions, or three miles from one car park to the other (if you have someone willing to move the car!) but it’s a journey well worth making in both directions, taking in the open fields, cliffs, nature and wildlife that makes Anglesey so beloved.
Although there’s minimal signage after the initial pointer on to the coastal path, the trail is well maintained and the link below will take you to a Google street view version of the walk should you wish to check it out before you set off. This is a truly sensational walk that will have you feeling a million miles from anywhere at times, and always awed by the surroundings.
Where is it?
You can find the South Stack car parks by taking the North Wales Expressway (A55) to Holyhead then taking a left at the war memorial on to Market Street (signed for town centre car parks), turn left on to Thomas Street, then follow the road until the left turn on to South Stack Road. You can then follow this until you see the sign for South Stack. A right turn here will take you to a series of car parks – the first is on the left, next to the RSPB centre, the second is the car park directly opposite the entry to the coastal path.
