Adventure is waiting on the doorstep
Experience all Anglesey has to offer from beautiful Rhosneigr
Clwb Rygbi Llangefni (Llangefni Rugby Club)
Founded in 1972, Llangefni Rugby Club currently play their rugby at Cae Smwrna and the men’s first XV compete in the highest league available to clubs in North Wales – North Wales Division 1. The official team crest shows a wild boar over a map of Anglesey and this is literally emblematic of their place in the community – sponsored by local businesses, loved by local people.
The club fields teams at all levels, including the MônStars – which provides an opportunity for girls of all ages on Anglesey to enjoy rugby. Like many smaller local sports teams, Clwb Rygbi Llangefni is always welcoming of new fans who will find a team that play with heart and skill – and which was the boyhood club of Wales’ second highest try scorer George North.
Seating is limited, so arrive early if you want a place to sit!
Where is it?
You can find the club by taking Junction 6 of the North Wales Expressway (A55) and following the signs for the A5114 to Llangefni. You can then go straight ahead and take the first turning to the right 20 yards after the low bridge. There is limited parking at the club itself, but there is a nearby pay and display car park on Mill Street.
