Adventure is waiting on the doorstep
Experience all Anglesey has to offer from beautiful Rhosneigr
Kayaking Rhosneigr
There are a huge number of locations available for kayaking on the island, requiring various levels of skill. One thing to keep in mind, however, is that there is no substitute for careful consideration of the conditions on the day.
Rhosneigr is a fantastic location for kayakers, with easy beach launch from either beach and parking available a short walk from either Traeth Crigyll or Traeth Llydan and (for lucky individuals staying at a certain, nearby, boutique guest house), not too far from a hot shower!
Rhosneigr provides a great, sheltered location for beginners who, provided they stay near the shore, will find a calm place to pick up experience. Intermediate kayakers, however, can find a three-and-a-half knot tidal flow a short paddle from the shore, giving you something to test yourself against if you’re in a mixed experience group.
Equipment
You can hire a kayak in the village itself from Funsport on Beach Road – though you can find some more places on our main kayaking page (above) if they’re out – but you can hire a wetsuit from either Gecko on the High Street, or Funsport.
