Starvation Bar & Kitchen
Named for Starvation Island (Ynys Feurig) – just off the coast of Rhosneigr, where ‘wreckers’ would lure ships onto the rocky islets in order to loot the wreckage – Starvation Bar & Kitchen is a chic little bar offering some of the best cocktails on the island which you can enjoy with a selection of American street foods provided by 49th Street Grocery.
Starvation Bar & Kitchen prides itself on having the some of the best cocktails in Rhosneigr, as well as live music performed by local musicians on weekends. The recently renovated, surf-themed bar is mostly suited to a quick bite than an evening meal (though you can do that too), and is an excellent destination to grab some food and drink during an action packed day.
Where is it?
Located on Awel-Y-Mor, just off Rhosneigr High Street, and accessible from the main road into the village (Fford Maelog, A4080), and a short walk from one of Rhosneigr’s main beaches, Starvation Bar & Kitchen is an excellent place to head for a drink and a bite to eat. The gastropub is just a short walk from Rhosneigr Pay & Display Car Park, but there are also a small number of on-street parking spaces near the restaurant itself (generally thin on the ground during high season). Due to its location in the centre of the village, patrons are seldom far from a range of activities and things to do both before and after their visit.

Monday – Wednesday
Starvation Bar & Kitchen is closed between Monday and Wednesday.
Thursday – Sunday
The venue is open for drinks from 12:00pm until ‘late’, but food service tends to end a few hours prior to closing.
