Starvation Bar
Named for Starvation Island (Ynys Feurig) – just off the coast of Rhosneigr, where ‘wreckers’ would lure ships onto the rocky islets in order to loot the wreckage – Starvation Bar is a chic little bar offering some of the best cocktails on the island.
Starvation Bar prides itself on having the some of the best cocktails in Rhosneigr, as well as live music performed by local musicians on weekends. It is an excellent destination to grab a drink during an action packed day.
Where is it?
Located on Awel-Y-Mor, just off Rhosneigr High Street, and accessible from the main road into the village (Fford Maelog, A4080), and a short walk from one of Rhosneigr’s main beaches, Starvation Bar is an excellent place to head for a drink. The bar is just a short walk from Rhosneigr Pay & Display Car Park, but there are also a small number of on-street parking spaces near the pub itself (generally thin on the ground during high season). Due to its location in the centre of the village, patrons are seldom far from a range of activities and things to do both before and after their visit.
