The Oyster Catcher

Overlooking Llyn Maelog, The Oyster Catcher offers stunning views of the lake, dunes and nearby village of Rhosneigr from the terrace of a stunning, purpose built glass fronted, environmentally friendly building. The Oyster Catcher is committed to using the best ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible from local farms and producers, award-winning local family butchers, and including oysters caught in the Menai Strait.

In addition to great food, The Oyster Catcher is also passionate about providing quality drink, and offers a selection of guest ales, international bottled beers, wine that encompasses everything from classic French to New World vineyards and a wide selection of spirits.

Where is it?

Located just off the A4040 (the main road into Rhosneigr), The Oyster Catcher is a tremendous building just a few minutes from both the village of Rhosneigr, from Traeth Llydan and from Llyn Maelog, making it a wonderful place to eat – even if you were just after some of the best views on the island. Being so close to the village, there are plenty of places to grab a drink beforehand, while the onsite bar is open late if you want to continue your evening there. Onsite parking makes it an easy option if you’re driving, while its proximity to a glorious golden beach and the wonderful Llyn Maelog mean you can take a walk afterward if you want to feel like you earned your desert.
