Happy Valley Pavilion Café (Kim’s Tea Room)

A stone’s throw from Beaumaris Castle, the Happy Valley Pavilion Café is a wonderful place to stop for a bite to eat before or after taking your trip around one of the most astonishing 13th Century castles in Europe. While the local architecture is definitely the main draw for visitors to Beaumaris, you won’t regret stopping off for tea and cake at this hidden gem.

With cream teas, homemade cakes and a great selection of baked goods combined with friendly staff and a great location, Happy Valley Pavilion Café is one of the island’s unmissable tearooms – a classic feeling and quaint location that will prove a pleasant surprise for locals and tourists alike.

Where is it?

Reachable by following the A545 from the suspension bridge, or the A5 then A545 from the Britannia Bridge, and right next door to Beaumaris Castle, Happy Valley Pavilion Café is also right next door to two car parks – the Castle Car and Coach Park and the Beaumaris Green Car Park – meaning that you can park up and stroll across to the café in a matter of minutes. The café is also a short walk from the Beaumaris front and pier – with a traditional British seaside feel – from which you can book Puffin Island boat trips.
