Caffi Siop Mechell
Serving a wide variety of traditional Welsh and British home cooked food from cooked breakfasts to cakes and baked goods (and the option to buy some of their excellent preserves), Caffi Siop Mechell is a delightful location with a traditional look and feel which serves to complement the freshly made, high quality menu.
Whether you’re a visitor to the island or a local, Caffi Siop Mechell is well worth a detour to visit this old post office building which hides a wonderful place to grab a drink and a bite to eat. Not to be missed!
Where is it?
A little out of the way (unless you happen to be heading from the south to the north of the island, or vice versa) Caffi Siop Mechell is situated in the picturesque village of Llanfechell at the corner of Brynddu Road and Mountain Road. Parking can be difficult as there are no nearby carparks, so you’ll be looking for an on-road parking space which can take a little time during peak season. The village is just to the south of Cemaes Bay, and south west of Porth Wen – and is worth the detour on the way to or from either area.
Opening times
Monday
Caffi Siop Mechell is open between 10:30am and 3:00pm on a Monday.

The café is open between 10:30am and 1:30pm on Thursday to Saturday, but remains closed on Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
