Rhosneigr has some beautiful beaches

Rhosneigr is home to two lovely beaches, each with its own unique charm. Traeth Llydan and Traeth Crigyll are just minutes from the centre of  Rhosneigr, for you to relax and soak up the sun or try your hand at a wide range of water sports on one of the warmer days. On cooler days, you can take a walk along the beach and explore the rock pools on a cooler day.

If you travel just a few minutes south of Rhosneigr you will find the secluded coves of Cable Bay, or to the North, you’ll find a plethora of stunning beaches around Holyhead. 

There are some incredibly scenic walks

Rhosneigr is surrounded by some of the most breathtaking coastal scenery in Wales, making it the perfect place to take long walks and hikes along the coast.

You can enjoy panoramic views of the coast from the  Anglesey Coastal Path which passes through Rhosneigr.  If you do fancy walking along a longer stretch of the path, it’s possible to get the bus to Aberffraw and walk along section 10 of the path which passes the Oyster Catcher, Traeth Llydan and through the village of Rhosneigr. 

Another walk worth a mention in the area is that around Llyn Maelog. It’s an area of special interest that offers incredible sightseeing and wildlife walks along the public footpath that circles the lake. 

A short drive away at Newborough nature reserve and Forest you will find the largest and finest dune systems in Britain which have been shaped over thousands of years by the wind and sea. The dunes, coastal marshes, and rocky shores are home to a dazzling array of plants and animals.

Rhosneigr is superb for watersports

Rhosneigr is one of the best destinations in the UK for watersports and has a thriving windsurfing and kitesurfing community. The bay is perfect for paddleboarding, kayaking, surfing, dinghy sailing and more making it the perfect destination for your seashore adventure in Anglesey if you’re an adventure seeker.
