Watersports At Rhosneigr Beach
A holiday in Rhosneigr wouldn’t be complete without taking the short jaunt from our guest house to one of the two beaches in the village.
The main beach in Rhosneigr is called Traeth Crigyll. This literally translates as ‘Town Beach’ and is a popular location for adrenaline junkies who are looking to try out one of the wonderful watersport activities that are on offer.
There are also watersports available at Traeth Llydan beach which is also located in Rhosneigr. Separated by rocks, Traeth Llydan translates into “broad beach” and shares a coveted Green Coast Award with its neighbour. This award is only given to beaches that offer excellent water quality, so you can paddleboard or windsurf with complete peace of mind.
Anglesey Golf Club
Sports in Rhosneigr are not just limited to the adrenaline junkies, with the village also being home to the only links golf courses on the island.
This popular 18 hole course offers countless dunes, heathland and streams which only add to the challenge offered to players. The coastal location naturally provides additional challenges with wind favoring those using a short backswing.
Rhosneigr To Aberffraw Coastal Walk
Keeping to the coastal setting, you will find one of the most scenic walks in Anglesey when you take the Rhosneigr to Aberffraw coastal path.
You can take in the beauty and tranquillity that only Anglesey can offer with countless sights to behold along the way including the 12th century St Cwyfan’s Church and the Neolithic burial chamber of Barclodiad y Gawres.
