Best Bars & Pubs In Rhosneigr, Anglesey

Coastal & Dog Friendly Pubs in Rhosneigr

Classic bar with bar counter and beer taps

Featured January 01, 2023 Author, admin

Rhosneigr village may be small, but it is home to some of the most welcoming pubs in Anglesey. You’ll find delightful real ale, pet friendly bars and exquisite pub grub with something to accommodate even the fussiest of diners.

We have gone through the painstaking task of sampling the many pubs in Rhosneigr so that you can arrive with a good idea of the best watering holes to frequent during your next stay at the Driftwood Guest House.

Y Morfa Pub

Y Morfa is a traditional village pub which serves an excellent selection of real ales, spirits and wines. The team on-site will give you a warm Welsh welcome at a free house which is located less than half a mile away from our Driftwood Guest House.

Traditional pub food is on offer at the venue as well as takeaway options. This is perfect for those long summer months in Rhosneigr where you can grab some grub and enjoy your meal in an idyllic setting admiring the beautiful coastal views that only Anglesey can provide.

Y Glan-Neigr & Sarisa Indian Kitchen

If you are willing to travel the extra 0.3 of a mile, then you’ll find a pub with a difference in the form of Y Glan-Neigr. Here you will be served what could arguably be considered to be the best pub food in Anglesey. That’s because instead of serving conventional pub food, the venue is home to the Sarisa Indian Kitchen.

You will be able to select from the full range of conventional Indian cuisine which can be eaten in the restaurant or as a takeaway. There is also a lovely beer garden available with Y Glan-Neigr welcoming both drinkers and diners. It’s well worth a visit if you are a fan of Indian cuisine.

Sandy Mount House

Those of you who are enjoying a holiday in Rhosneigr with their four legged family companion will find Sandy Mount House is the ideal venue. Well behaved dogs are more than welcome in the bar and outdoor front terrace with the owners making a special effort to make your furry friend feel at home with the offer of free doggy treats.

This is indicative of the very modern theme that is prevalent in Sandy Mount House with the ambience being created by the contemporary coastal decor and eclectic range of beverages available. During the summer months there is even occasionally a special gin bar staffed by an experienced mixologist in the lovely beer garden.

The food is first class too, with the catering team being led by the award winning head chef Hefin Roberts who has previously worked at multiple rosette winning restaurants.

Will’s Bar At The Oystercatcher

The Oystercatcher may be better known as a restaurant, but you can also pop in for a few tipples when you take advantage of Will’s Bar.

If you are looking for real ale pubs in Anglesey, then this is the perfect place with some of the guest ales on offer being amongst the best in the country. These include the award winning Cheshire Brewery and the slightly closer to home Conwy Brewery. This is alongside the Oystercatcher’s highly rated own lager which is available on tap throughout the year.
