Rhosneigr-Aberffraw Coastal Path
For those looking for stunning views, this path between Rhosneigr and Aberffraw offers a range of magnificent panoramas as well as some excellent spots for dogs to take a dip.
Rhosneigr circular walk
This popular 3.5-km circular trail around Llyn Maelog is generally considered an easy route that takes an average of 44 minutes to complete and is great for a walk with your dog.
Dog-Friendly Beaches Rhosneigr
There are two beaches in Rhosneigr and both are popular dog-friendly beaches in Anglesey. Dogs are allowed on these beaches all year round, and no dog restrictions are in place.
Traeth Llydan
Traeth Llydan (Broad Beach) is a gorgeous spot for you and your pup to explore. It boasts over a mile of golden sand.
Traeth Crigyll
Traeth Crigyll (Town beach) is Rhosneigr’s main beach. Located just to the west of the town it is a fine expanse of golden sand. It is easily accessed from the village, with several roads leading right down onto the beach.

If you’re looking for a pup-friendly spot to grab a bite to eat, Rhosneigr has plenty of options. From cafes and restaurants to pubs and takeaways, there are canine-friendly spots throughout this charming seaside village in Anglesey. Enjoy the picturesque views with your furry friend by your side!

Y Morfa
If you’re looking for a laidback, dog-friendly spot to relax with your dog, Y Morfa in Rhosneigr is an excellent choice. This family-friendly pub has a great bar area where dogs are more than welcome, plus they serve up some of the best pints in town.
Mezze 40
Located just above Y Morfa, this restaurant provides aromas and flavours from around the world. It will enchant and delight you whether you fancy some American buffalo wings, fresh Mediterranean fish, plates of pasta or tapas. The best thing about this sociable place with small plates designed for sharing is that it’s also dog friendly.
Whether taking your dog or leaving it behind you need to book a table at this restaurant. During busy periods, due to limited floor space, they may recommend that you dine without your dog. However, well-behaved dogs are very welcome so do give Mezza 40 a call if you’d like to book.
There’s also traditional pub grub on offer, making it ideal if you want to enjoy an evening meal while soaking up the summer sun.
Mojo’s Cafe
Rhosneigr’s only French-owned restaurant is a great spot to enjoy a range of delightful crepes, croques, and galettes. Located on the high street, it’s fully licensed and offers a cosy evening menu. Be sure to check their seasonal opening hours before you set out!
Luckily no one gets left out at Mojos, they love all well-behaved furry friends. Their Facebook page says that if dogs come at the right time there might be a sausage waiting for them. If they miss out on the sausage there is always some water and treats by the front door.
The Oyster Catcher
The Oyster Catcher is a popular pub restaurant on Anglesey that welcomes dogs. Unlike many places in the area, the Oyster Catcher offers limited seating inside the restaurant and plenty of space outside for your canine friend to explore.
They’ve recently launched an ‘In the dog house’ menu which is available in the doggy-friendly area of the restaurant.
With an award-winning Broad Beach (Traeth Llydan) behind it, and stunning dunes stretching out before you, this is a great spot for you and your dog to relax and enjoy some delicious food.
Booking ahead is recommended as it’s one of the most sought-after eateries on the island!

Pet-friendly accommodation is not hard to come by in Rhosneigr. There are plenty of places to stay that will welcome your four-legged friend with open arms. From seaside cottages to boutique guest houses the options are endless.
