Henllys Golf Club, Beaumaris
On the outskirts of the historic town of Beaumaris, Henllys Golf Club is a parkland course with incredible views of the Menai Strait and the Snowdonia mountain range, and demonstrates a superb use of the natural features of the land – such as streams, ponds and undulating landscape – while a par of 71 creates a true challenge for any level of player in a glorious setting.
The course was opened in 1996 and, after almost thirty years, has matured beautifully. The club has membership rates for all ages, but also offers excellent rates for visitors to the club – including lessons from one of the club’s pros.
Where is it?
Reachable by following the A545 from the suspension bridge (or the A5 then A545 from the Britannia Bridge), then taking a left after Red Boat Ice Cream Parlour, on to Church Street and following that road until you reach a right turn on to Henllys Lane, you’ll find Henllys Golf Club just over half a mile down the road. The courses proximity to Beaumaris means you’re never too far from a place to eat or other things to do before or after your round, as the town has plenty of landmarks, tourist attractions, and more.
